Bruce Rauner, governor of Illinois, chugged a glass of chocolate milk in a bizarre stunt that was meant to show his support of diversity. “It’s really, really good,” he noted after taking a sip. Rauner was participating in a diversity talk with Hyatt Hotels executive Tyronne Stoudmire. The milk demo was Stoudmire’s idea and has been part of diversity presentation for years, but commenters online have taken Rauner to task.

Students in Parkland, FL Head Back to School Today

Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School was the site of the  shooting that left 17 people dead earlier this month and today, students and staff return to resume classes. This attempt at returning to normalcy comes as news spreads about armed school resource officer Scot Peterson. Authorities say he remained outside for four minutes during the six-minute rampage that claimed more than a dozen lives. Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel has stated that Peterson could have stopped the shooter if he had gone inside the school.

Oprah Unbothered by Trump’s ‘Insecure’ Tweet

During an appearance on Ellen DeGeneres‘ talk show, Oprah Winfrey revealed her initial reaction to Donald Trump calling her insecure. “I don’t like giving negativity power, so I just thought, ‘What?’” said the 64-year-old media mogul. Her reaction was in response to a tweet from Trump over the weekend that called her insecure and criticized her 60 Minutes segment where she hosted a panel of voters and asked them questions about Trump and his policies.  “I was working very hard to do the opposite of what I was hate tweeted about so, it’s okay,” she said.
