Police arrest man for hiring white supremacist to hang Black neighbor from a tree and burn flaming cross
A white South Carolina man, who hired a hit man to have his Black neighbor killed, has been arrested and charged with murder for hire.
The New York Post reports that Brandon Lecroy, made a $500 deal with man he found in a white supremacist online group. Jokes on him though because the 25-year-old man made contact with an undercover detective posing as a hit man.

He sent a picture of the neighbor to the undercover cop and said, “$500 and he’s a ghost.”
Lecroy told the undercover officer to kill his black neighbor, hang his body from a tree and burn a cross on his lawn.
He put down a $100 deposit toward the killing and was arrested after meeting with the officer and giving him the money.
There’s no word on why Lecroy wanted his neighbor dead.
While police will likely label Lecroy’s murder for hire case a hate crime, the sinister murder of two Black men in Oklahoma City who had their bodies dismembered by three White men in a case that’s being called a modern-day lynching– was ruled not to be a hate crime but instead a gun sale gone bad, reports Fox News.
“We definitely explored that, and the evidence absolutely shows that this was not racially motivated,” said Cleveland County prosecutor Greg Mashburn.
Alize Ramon Smith, also known as “Gutta Twin,” and Jarron Moreland, nicknamed “400,” both 21, went missing in April outside Oklahoma City and were found dead in a pond with their dismembered bodies chained to cinder blocks so they could sink.
