Why Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith don’t say they are married anymore
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith’s relationship has stood the test of time in Hollywood especially since celebrity marriages are typically short-lived.
But that’s because they’ve taken their relationship to a deeper level and the rest of us are just trying to catch up.

“We don’t even say we’re married anymore,” Will Smith explains in a new interview on Tidal’s “Rap Radar” podcast. “We refer to ourselves as life partners, where you get into that space where you realize you are literally with somebody for the rest of your life.”
The quirky and fun couple have figured out what works for them and it seems to be working. They’ve never been the kind of people who followed a traditional path anyway, from raising “free” Black kids to rebuking marital labels.
Smith admits at this point in life, there’s nothing that will separate the celebrity couple.
“There’s no deal breakers,” he said. “There’s nothing she could do—ever. Nothing that would break our relationship. She has my support till death and it feels so good to get to that space.”
Now that’s love.
Earlier this year, the rapper went back in the booth to spit a few rhymes to shut the divorce rumors down once and for all.
“Stop the divorce rumors and mind your damn business,” Smith sings at the end of the track along with a lot of other funny lines about his famous family.
“The real-life Incredibles, last name Smith. Jada, Jaden, Willow, Trey — y’all ain’t f—ing with my clique.”
The track “To the Clique” was a tease Smith who has some new music coming.

Last month, Pinkett Smith said on the “Sway’s Universe” radio show that things are all good in her marriage.
“Take out all that whole marriage/relationship crap. At the end of the day, Will and I are family,” the actress said.
“I am going to hold him down, doesn’t matter. All that relationship and what people think ideas of a husband, partner and all that, man, whatever. At the end of the day, that is a man that can rely on me for the rest of his life, period.”
