Jones was riding in a car that was pulled over on June 20th. The driver initially led police on a brief chase before stopping, TMZ reported. When police searched the vehicle, they found two loaded pistols, bottles of oxycodone and Percocet, marijuana and vaping cartridges. Jones denied knowledge of the firearms, TMZ reported. At the time, everyone in the car denied knowledge of the illegal drugs as well.

Jones did admit that one of the pill bottles was his and he claimed it was prescribed, according to XXL magazine.

Jones had recently announced a release date for Dipset’s new album entitled: “Diplomatic Ties,” as well as a documentary of the group.

He has also teased diehard fans with a few tracks from the upcoming album, which is expected to drop on Thanksgiving.

Last year, members of Dipset, including Jones, Cam’Ron, Freekey Zekey and Juelz Santana, announced they were reuniting and putting out new material as a group and they went on tour this summer. The group was formed in the late 1990s by childhood friends in Harlem.

Jones will be arraigned on the charges later this month. If convicted on all charges, he faces “up to decades in prison,” XXL reports.
