Kanye West was stumping for Chicago Mayoral candidate Amara Enyia on Tuesday afternoon along with Chance the Rapper.
During a campaign event, Chicago native, Chance The Rapper, who recently announced plans to campaign for Enyia extensively, spoke to the crowd along with the mayoral candidate about issues such as gentrification and unemployment.
“Chance represents someone who has seen what we can do and what we can be as a city,” Enyia said to the crowd of 300-plus supporters according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
“Amara believes that, No. 1, bringing opportunities, bringing job programs, bringing better schooling, bringing better park district programming is integral to a child and eventually a man’s growth,” Chance said.
Enyia thanked West for his generous contribution of $73,540, which was reportedly the exact amount she was fined for failing to file documents properly during her 2015 campaign for Mayor. She needed to pay the fine in order to be eligible to run for the office again and that’s where Ye stepped in.
West stood by and snapped pics and took video at the “pull-up” event where throngs of teens showed up to see the stars first-hand.
The rapper didn’t stay long and reportedly whispering to Enyia, “I’ve got to bounce,” before departing.
Considering Enyia’s platform stands in stark contrast to the POTUS Ye is so supportive of, we’re wondering if his true political leanings are more liberal than he lets on.
West is pretty confusing. While he championing for a Democratic on one hand, on Saturday, the Ye rapper and Donald Trump’s sidekick, debuted the line of tees during Turning Point USA’s Young Black Leadership Summit filled with young black conservatives’ at the White House.

“Blexit is a renaissance, and I am blessed to say that this logo, these colors, were created by my dear friend and fellow superhero Kanye West,” Turning Point USA communications director Candace Owens told Page Six.
West “has taken one of the boldest steps in America to open a conversation we have needed to have,” Owens added.
The dumpster fire apparel bares the motto: “We Free,” or the word “Blexit,” and the description of each item reads “Design by Kanye West.”
According to its website, Blexit “is a frequency for those who have released themselves from the political orthodoxy. It is a rebellion led by Americans wishing to disrupt the simulation of fear. Blexit is a renaissance. It is our formal declaration of independence.”
According to the Associated Press, Enyia says she doesn’t share West’s support for Trump, but that she appreciates his help.
