Union took to Instagram over the weekend to explain the reasoning behind naming her baby girl, Kaavia James Union Wade. And while we figured out that the names “Union” and “Wade” were clearly an homage to the happy parents, we were left wondering if “James” was perhaps a shout out to Wade’s bestie LeBron James, but it’s not.

Union just wanted to give a nod to her grandfather and uncle, PEOPLE reports.

“We wanted to include my family in her name so that ‘James’ is from my uncle James Francis Glasswho is also my grandfather,” she wrote, adding that “Union is her middle name.”

“I’ve waited this long so fo sho I was gonna get in there,” she admits.

Not only that, but baby girl, who already has four names and mounted up hundreds more nicknames Union admits.

“@kaaviajames pronounced Kah-Vee-Uh James,” she explained. “She has 102 nicknames including but not limited to Kaav, Kaavi, Kaavi Baby, Kaavi J, Jamie, KJ, Nugget, Nug, Pooters.”

Wade and Union are beside themselves with joy after announcing the birth of baby Kaavia on Nov. 7 through a surrogate.

They posted the first batch of photos one day after the baby arrived. Wade, who is playing his final NBA season with the Miami Heat before retirement, has taken time away from the team for paternity leave.

“With my daughter coming a couple weeks early, she’s a little tiny right now, so we’re making sure health-wise that she’s OK,” Wade told the Associated Press. “And for me, once I leave and go back to the season, not really being able to be with me everywhere I go, this time right now, this bonding moment with my daughter is the most important thing in my life at this time.”
