Quincy Brown posts heartfelt message about losing his mother, Kim Porter
The actor said losing his mother is :the toughest heartbreak I will ever encounter."
While plenty of people are still reeling from the tragic death of Kim Porter, her eldest son, Quincy Brown, shared some touching words on social media this week.
The star of STAR, whose father is Al B. Sure, posted about the gratitude he felt for the outpouring of support he and his family received after his mother’s death.
“To my family, friends, Qrew, entertainment colleagues and all of my family’s supporters… Thank you for your endless love, condolences, best wishes and positive energy through the toughest heartbreak I will ever encounter. Please know that your wishes of strength have united us as a family closer than ever. Heaven has gained a special angel to look over ALL of us. From the bottom of my heart….Thank Y’all,” he posted.
The former model and actress who shared three children with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was confirmed dead by her rep on November 15. “Sadly, I can confirm the passing of Kim Porter. I ask that you give the families privacy at this time,” the rep told PageSix.
According to TMZ, law enforcement was called to Porter’s Los Angeles area home on Thursday after someone called reporting “a patient in cardiac arrest.” A source claimed that Kim Porter had been battling flu-like symptoms and possibly pneumonia for weeks but her cause of death remains unclear.
Diddy delivered a heartbreaking eulogy at Porter’s funeral last weekend.
“I can’t put our relationship into a certain box. She always told me she felt like God sent her here to help me out,” Combs said, according to audio obtained by TMZ. “I didn’t really understand how to love . . . and she just really started breaking down the exterior of any shell that I’d put up.”
Combs paused to gather himself as he remembered his longtime love and dear friend.
“From the top of the year, I was going through a real dark time. I was really depressed . . . and she would just come over like, ‘Come on, Puff, you gotta get up, you gotta get off the bed,’” he recalled.
“As time went on, our relationship took so many different changes, from being boyfriend and girlfriend and being lovers to being best friends to being just straight homies like, somebody that you know you can count on. Somebody that has your back, you have their back.”
