Oprah Winfrey and Prince Harry are tag-teaming to bring a documentary series focused on mental health to Apple TV.
The new streaming service from the tech giant will feature both Harry and Winfrey in the executive producer chair for the forthcoming series. The Kensington Palace detail the effort has already received several months of work from the tandem.
“I truly believe that good mental health – mental fitness – is the key to powerful leadership, productive communities and a purpose-driven self,” Harry said. “It is a huge responsibility to get this right as we bring you the facts, the science and the awareness of a subject that is so relevant during these times. Our hope is that this series will be positive, enlightening and inclusive – sharing global stories of unparalleled human spirit fighting back from the darkest places, and the opportunity for us to understand ourselves and those around us better.”

This past March, it was revealed Oprah would work with Apple in coordination with their streaming platform, specifically for a new block of programming. USA Today details Oprah provided insight to the work of her and Harry, citing it as “a unique opportunity to rise to our best selves in how we use, and choose to use, both our technology and our humanity.”
Mental health awareness has been at the forefront of efforts from Harry for years, using his own experiences as anecdotes to assist others in need.
Recently, Oprah has donated $2 million to relief efforts in Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria. The funds will also impact the art programs on the island.
The title of the forthcoming show is currently unknown.
