Rapper Waka Flocka Flame was one of a dozen people inside of ZAC Recording studio earlier this month when the gunfire erupted.
Atlanta police believe that at least three men were present at the scene on April 4th, firing on the building resulting in one man, Timothy Nickson, being shot in the arm. Nickson was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital and treated for the gunshot wound.

During the shooting, Flocka, born Juaquin Malphurs, was said to find shelter inside and remain unharmed. When officers arrived at the scene, shortly after 2:00 a.m., they met two armed men at the door.
They were originally detained, but let officers know they had weapons drawn to secure the area, and they were able to give updates on those who were injured during the incident.
According to Page Six, police have not revealed if they believe the “Oh Lets Do It” rapper was the target of the shooting and have not made any arrests as of yet.
Information regarding the shooting emerged almost a week later as it was discovered by WSB-TV in Atlanta, detailing an additional victim was injured and someone else was cited for marijuana possession.
Waka Flocka has not spoken on the incident, however, we may soon hear the results of his studio session in the release of Salute Me or Shoot Me Vol. 7, which he is currently promoting on his Instagram. The new work is stated to have an April 16 release date and will be a Trapaholics production.
