As the hit song “WAP” continues to climb the charts, Megan Thee Stallion has taken to Twitter to address men who have critiqued her sexual expression.

The Houston rapper points toward popular male rappers to expose the double standards fans have regarding adult content performed by women versus when it is performed by men.

By comparing the sexual innuendos on Three 6 Mafia’s 1999 club banger “Slob On My Knob” to her new project with Cardi B, she was hard press to see why so many men have taken issue with the two women.

“Lol dudes will scream ‘slob on my knob’ word for word and crying abt WAP Face with tears of joy bye lil boy,” tweeted Megan.

The visuals and lyrics for the song “WAP” have both sparked controversy from mostly men. KollegeKid tweeted a video expressing his distaste for the female artists and their song.

“They are setting all types of bad examples for young women and I have a daughter,” said @KollegeKid.

“I listened to it… and I’m just like. D*** this is a prime example of what’s wrong with a lot of these women,” he continued.

Emcees like Megan are making strides to expand and strengthen the community of mainstream female rappers by dominating the music charts. At the same time, she acknowledges gender-motivated double standards still exist, reported Marie Claire.

Megan sat down with Marie Claire for a cover story in April and spoke about her day to day life. She also spoke on the rap community’s biases toward women.

“A man can be as mediocre as he wants to be but still be praised. A man can talk about how he’s about to do all of these drugs and then come and shoot your house up. But as soon as I say something about my vagina, it’s the end of the world?” she voiced to the magazine.

“Not only am I rapping about sex, but I’m also rapping about you making me feel good. I’m not rapping about licking on you,” Megan continues.

“No, you’re going to do what I told you to do, and I feel like sometimes that can be a little intimidating… sometimes it’s overwhelming to some men. They can’t handle it, they get a little shook, they get a little scared. But I’m not going nowhere, so get used to it.”
