Tamar Braxton and her now former boyfriend David Adefeso have been in the news a lot in the past two months.

Most recently, Adefeso filed for a restraining order against the singer/songwriter over a domestic dispute, as reported by theGrio.

In the premiere of the new reality show, “Tamar Braxton: Get Ya Life!,” it appears that their once-celebrated relationship showed some cracks in the armor during the taping of the show.

In one episode of the docuseries, Braxton attempts to revamp her life, health and career as she moves on from her 2019 divorce from Vincent Hubert, whom she was married to for 11 years.

One of her methods of revitalizing herself was devised by a creative coach, Goli Samii.

During the episode, Samii attempts what she calls “dream work” to tap into Braxton’s subconscious to help the “Love and War” singer find healing. As part of the exercises, Samii convinced Braxton to abstain from alcohol, drugs and sex for 45 days.

The episode can be viewed here.

Adefeso, who had been dating Braxton for a year and a half at the time of the taping, according to People Magazine, did not want Braxton to engage in celibacy.

When asked how important, on a scale of one to 10, the exercise was to her, Braxton replied, “one hundred.”

Adefeso then stated, “Okay. For me, sex, on a scale of one to 10, [is] 102. How about that?”

Braxton had just praised Adefeso last month for his support after her suicide attempt in July. It was him who found Braxton unresponsive in their apartment.

She stated in an Instagram post that she was distraught from her relationship with WeTV and wanted to be relieved of her contract from the network, which they obliged.

Get Ya Life! will be the final collaboration between Braxton and WeTV, who have collaborated since 2011 on reality shows “Braxton Family Values and Tamar & Vince.”
