According to WZTV Nashville, it all began around 9:30 a.m. in Coffee County. First, Dangelo Dorsey of St. Louis, Missouri shot and killed Darcey Johnson while carjacking him and his passenger on I-24. Once traffic stopped, Dorsey decided to flee the vehicle in search of another, but not before injuring the passenger who was riding with Johnson.

Dorsey, 29, attempted to steal another car but when he couldn’t get in, so he shot both the driver and a truck driver who was nearby, who he shot in the face. Both are expected to live.

As reported by Fox 17, Dorsey then carjacked a couple, 23-year-old Jordan and Aileen Stevens, who is pregnant, then demanded they drive him to their home.

Once there, Dorsey stole their guns and took both of them as hostages before exchanging their Ford Mustang for a blue Toyota Rav4. Then he shot and killed Jordan Stevens, eventually dumping his body on the highway.

Law enforcement eventually caught up with Dorsey on I-24 and the pursuit quickly elevated to a high-speed car chase, causing him to crash the vehicle. As officers began to zero in on the suspect, he shot and killed himself, leaving the wife uninjured.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says they are conducting a thorough investigation into the disturbing case. At this point, it is unclear whether or not Dorsey knew the victims in the first vehicle or any of the victims at all.

TBI confirmed, according to Fox 17 that Dorsey had no arrest record in Tennessee. Despite having an extensive one in Missouri, he was not wanted by any law enforcement agency.
