Romney supporters tell cardboard Obama to 'go back to Kenya!' (VIDEO)

Mitt Romney supporters didn’t have kind things to say Monday night when a member of liberal group ProgressNow held up a cardboard cut-out of President Barack Obama as people lined up outside.

“Go back to Kenya!” one person yells as he walks by.

Thousands of people attended the Romney/Ryan rally at the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum in Denver, Colorado when they spotted the cut-out of Obama on their way in and began insulting it, KDVR reported.

ProgressNow caught the action on video and posted it on YouTube yesterday morning.

“Strangle him!” one person calls out in the video.

“Is that your Muslim communist buddy?” an onlooker asks the man holding the cut-out.

“Why are you supporting an Islamist, Marxist idiot?” another supporter asks.

“He looks real good standing on a street corner,” one man says as he walks by. “In about three months, he’ll be doing that all the time.”

The insults alternated with boos and thumbs-down gestures.

ProgressNow members stood silently as bystanders made comments.

“We did nothing to further provoke the crowd,” the group told KDVR in an e-mail.

“It’s clear that not all, but many within Romney’s base of support dislike the President for irrational and often hateful reasons. Comments like ‘go back to Kenya,’ and asserting Obama is ‘black and used up’ reflect a much uglier prejudice than most Americans would identify with,” Joanne Schwartz, the executive director of ProgressNow, said.

“Everyone we videotaped yesterday has a right to free expression,” Schwartz continued. “But others have the right to publicly reject intolerance. In a free society, we have an obligation to call this out.”
