Vice President Joe Biden to address annual National Action Network MLK Day breakfast

Vice President Joe Biden will put his “honorary black man” credentials to the test on Monday when he addresses Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network during their annual Martin Luther King Day breakfast.

The event being is being held at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C and Biden will be delivering the keynote speech.

Biden is not a stranger to addressing predominately African-American crowds on behalf of the president.

For instance, in June of 2012, the vice president gave a fiery speech before the National Association of Black Journalists.

That year Biden was trumpeting the president’s accomplishment’s ahead of the general election; this year he will have the unenviable task of motivating the president’s base to stick with him during a low point in his presidency.
