Twitter uses #ObamaAndKids hashtag to celebrate POTUS’s legacy

Over the last few days, pictures of President Obama having touching moments with children have become all the rage on social media.

The #ObamaAndKids hashtag came about after White House photographer Pete Souza shared a photo of the president greeting Clark Reynolds, 3, at a Black History month reception.

People were moved by the candid photo of the young boy looking up in awe and felt it captured the impact Obama has had on a generation of children who grew up with the nation’s first black president in office.

“We’ll never truly be able to measure the impact that President Barack Obama has had on our children,” activist Michael Skolnik tweeted before encouraging others to share their own favorite photos of POTUS with his youngest constituents.

And just like that, a brilliant hashtag was born.
