Charles Ogletree Jr., a constitutional law professor at Harvard, taught both of the Obamas while they were in school, and according to him, Michelle was the better student.
In speaking with TMZ, Ogletree admitted that the former president was the know-it-all in his class. “He was speaking too much,’” he said. “He wanted everything. He said, ‘I can answer that question, professor.’ I said, ‘Barack, I want to call on Mary.’”
But while Barack was the one to answer all the questions, Michelle was the one that impressed Ogletree. “You know, his wife should’ve been president,” he said, adding that Barack “was great too, but she was better.”
Still, Ogletree doesn’t think she will run in 2020.
“She could easily be president, but I don’t think she will,” Ogletree said.
It’s a disappointing answer, especially considering the fact that everyone would love to see Michelle run, since she proved she can give stirring speeches and really draw in a crowd while on the campaign trail in 2016 for Hillary Clinton. America is missing its former First Lady, but as she and her husband have said multiple times, it just doesn’t look like a run for the presidency is in the cards for her.
