Cardi B thanks her haters in epic speech and confirms April album release

Cardi B had a pretty good weekend.

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper opened up the iHeartAwards with an amazing performance and took home the trophy for Best New Artist at the annual award show.

The former Love & Hip Hop:NY star donned a super frilly party dress and shouted out her haters while she accepted the coveted award. She also confirmed her debut album would be released in April.

“I’m going to thank a lot of people because a lot of people helped me with my success so here it goes,” Cardi B said before naming her publicist, record label, managers and family.

“I want to thank my man. I want to thank my fans, Bardi Gang because even when I’m wrong they be like, ‘she still right.’ I wanna thank my haters too because they be downloading my stuff so they can hear it and talk crap about it but it benefits me. My album will be coming out in April. Yessir. Stay tuned mother fu-kers.”

Cardi B likely silenced a few of her haters with her high-energy medley of hits to open the show. She performed her verses from Bruno Mars‘ “Finesse (Remix)” as well her own chart-toppers, “Bartier Cardi,” “Motorsport” and “Bodak Yellow.” She was joined by G-Eazy for their hit, “No Limit.”

The rapper, who was rumored to be pregnant by Migos’ Offset, showed no signs of slowing down as she high-kicked her way through the powerful set dressed in a fitted leather jacket.
