On Tuesday, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft went to the Pennsylvania prison where Meek Mill is being held.
And it sounds like Kraft walked away from meeting Meek Mill incredibly impressed with the rapper.
“Amazing young man. I know how I’d feel if I was in the situation he is,” Robert Kraft said after the meeting. “Every time I see him, I just come away more impressed. He’s very intelligent. And makes it clear to me we have to do something with criminal justice reform.”

“It’s just sad,” Kraft said. “This guy is a great guy and shouldn’t be here.”
Robert Kraft, along with Michael Rubin, co-owner of the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers, has added his voice to the many calling for Meek Mill to be freed after being sentenced to two to four years in prison for violating his probation.
Activists have decried that sentencing as far too harsh to fit the crime and have pointed to the overly harsh sentencing as proof of a broken criminal justice system.
The case has also come under scrutiny for possible corruption, with the judge accused of punishing Mill with a heavy sentence because he refused to bow to her demands to include her in his music.
Most recently, the judge has been blasted for refusing to allow Mill to be freed on bail. Mill’s attorneys called the decision a “vindictive and erroneous decision,” one of several that have caused outcry over the case.

And according to the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, Officer Reginald Graham—who played a crucial role in Meek’s 2007 arrest for gun and drug charges—is one of 29 current and former cops the D.A. has placed on a “do not call” list. The list serves as a warning prosecutors to keep them off their witness stands due to allegations of misconduct.
According TMZ, “The list — first obtained by the Philadelphia Inquirer — states Graham was “investigated by federal authorities for several alleged acts of corruption.” Graham was the only witness in Meek’s 2008 trial.
Meek’s attorney, Joe Tacopina, said “The release of the so-called ‘Do Not Testify’ list supports everything in the motions filed by Mill and others wrongfully arrested by Officer Graham for post-conviction relief.”
