The wait is almost over. The Season 3 trailer of Issa Rae’s popular hit show, Insecure has dropped giving Black women every where further instructions on how to use your lemons and turn them into lemonade after the shows main character is forced to shack up with her ex boo after suffering from a cash flow problem, reports IndieWire.

The award-winning HBO series is geared up to take viewers on a ride this season – but it might be more of a hooptie-type journey than a Maybach. Rae’s character is beyond broke and can’t afford to live in her own place anymore, so she decides to live with her ex, Daniel (Y’lan Noel.) It’s a pretty odd move in itself when you’re forced to stay with your side-piece, who you cheated on your boyfriend with and who also helped destroy your last relationship.

There’s got to be a lot of insecurities floating around with that weird relationship.

Issa will continue to patch up her flaws with her homegirl, Molly (Yvonne Orji ) riding right beside her while her other girls Tiffany and Kelly have their own issues to confront from pregnancy to breakups.

Rae spoke to The Hollywood Reporter, about the show’s return and the new territory of topics she plans to explore, but we’ll have to wait a while longer for anything specific.

“I don’t want to give anything away!” Rae said.

“But I love Black masculinity as it relates to Black women. I think that’s something interesting that we haven’t gotten a chance to explore yet — and specifically toxic male Black masculinity as it relates to Black women. I’m trying to find a way to explore that and get a rounded storyline that isn’t preachy.”

Insecure, which was created by Rae and Larry Wilmore, has enjoyed ratings success as it tells the story of two Black women and their friendship through the insecurities and awkwardness of real life.

Insecure will return for its third season on August 12 at 10:30PM on HBO
