YouTube sensation and beauty guru, Laura Lee is in hot water after a racist tweet from 2012 recently resurfaced.

“Tip for all black people if you pull ur pants up you can run from the police faster… #yourwelcome,” she posted in 2012.

According to TheBlast, ULTA has severed ties with her cosmetic company, Laura Lee Los Angeles.  “We have decided not to move forward with the launch of Laura Lee Los Angeles. Ulta Beauty values equality and inclusivity in all that we do,” a representative for ULTA told the outlet.

They’re not the only ones parting ways with Laura Lee. The president of Boxycharm spoke out against Lee in a Facebook video and announced they would no longer do business with her.

Diff Eyewear, the sunglass company who collaborated with Lee on a limited edition collection earlier this year has also decided to pull the plug on their partnership.  “We’ve taken this issue very seriously and do not support the comments that were made. At this time, our Peachy frames are unavailable for purchase. Thank you for your understanding,” they said in a statement.

TheBlast reports that Lee has lost hundreds of thousands of subscribers since the racist tweet surfaced despite her numerous attempts to apologize.

“I want to deeply apologize for the comments of mine that recently surfaced from six years ago,” Lee began in a lengthy post after briefly deactivating her social media accounts. “That girl who tweeted that isn’t who I am today. I now understand the seriousness behind those tweets.”

She went on to blame her upbringing for her racism.

“As a small town girl from Alabama I wish I had the cultural education six years ago that I have now,” she wrote.
