The five-time Emmy nominee is scheduled to host just a few days before his highly anticipated comedy series Turn Up Charlie, premieres on Netflix on March 15. Elba co-created the show and also stars in the eight-episode show.
TV Line reports that the series is somewhat based on Elba’s other job as a professional D.J.
Khalid will also be promoting his most recent EP “Suncity” that was released in October. The singer has a new album that will be released in April.
Elba joins the list of other widely known hosts that have made appearances on the 44th season of the sketch comedy series. Some hosts so far include Seth Meyers, Jonah Hill, Steve Carell, Jason Momoa, Matt Damon, Halsey and Don Cheadle.

Cheadle, who hosted last week, made a powerful statement on Saturday Night Live by wearing a T-shirt that said “Protect Trans Kids”, showing his support for transgender youth.
He wore the black and white shirt before introducing musical guest, Gary Clark Jr.
He has received a lot of support from people on social media, including many organizations and advocates that support the transgender community.
