Just a week after she revealed she was living in a sober house, Wendy Williams’ ex-husband is coming forward to break his silence about her previous drug addiction and the explosive way their marriage ended.
According to RadarOnline, Bert Girigorie met Williams, in 1992 while working at a NYC radio station. The two dated for two years before getting married in 1994 but by 1995 they’d already called it quits.

Girigorie says they broke up because of “bizarre’ behavior” that revealed itself even on their wedding day. But maintains he was completely in the dark about Williams drug use until after their divorce. In retrospect he can now see how her addiction would have probably explained her erratic mood swings.
“She said she was doing drugs but she kept that away from me,” he continues. “I assumed that she was but I didn’t know anything about it. I know I was seeing strange behavior and behavior that I didn’t understand when I look back at it.”

The daytime talk show’s ex says he knew something was wrong on the day of their nuptials when out of the blue Williams had a photographer and a reporter from “some magazine” ride in the limousine from the church to their wedding reception.
“It was very bizarre,” he says of how things immediately changed after their wedding. “She just turned into a different person. I don’t know what was going on. I didn’t understand a lot of things that she did. I didn’t understand what her motivations were.”
Girigorie explains he “was at a loss” while trying to salvage his ill-fated marriage, which he claims ultimately ended after, “we had a big blowout, and the relationship became very strained.”
Williams’ current marriage is speculated to be on the outs after her husband Kevin Hunter allegedly had a baby with a woman believed to be his longtime mistress.
On March 25th she was reportedly rushed to the hospital after a relapse, believed to be triggered by the birth of the child last weekend. Williams has yet to address any of these allegations publicly.
