Boxing legend George Foreman’s family was evacuated from their Texas mansion on Sunday after a fire broke out and damaged at least 40 cars in his garage, KHOU reports.
The Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office said the fire was contained to the garage of the Foreman home and the family was able to escape unharmed. However, there a lot of damages were sustained to the garage and to one of the cars. They will most likely be getting a few renovations done, including garage door repairs, new walls and a new sprinkler system.

Foreman’s home is located in Huffman, about 30 miles outside of Houston. There was heavy smoke damaged reported and firefighters reportedly used large fans to blow smoke away from the man home connected to the garage, according to the station.
The fire is still being investigated to uncover what caused the blaze, KTRK reported.
Foreman later tweeted, “Don’t worry all is well.”
Don’t worry all is well, Dogs are barking and I don’t mean my feet.

This is the second tragedy, occurring just a month after Foreman’s 42-year-old daughter Freeda Foreman found dead by apparent suicide in her Texas home by a family member.
Freeda followed in her famous father’s footsteps as a professional middleweight boxer. She fought professionally for 17 months in 2000-01 and her career ended with a 5-1 record. She was also a boxing promoter and staunch advocate for criminal justice reform.

Freeda’s mother, Andre Skeete, spoke about her last conversation with her daughter.
“She asked me a couple of weeks ago … ‘Mom, what was the biggest joy of your life?’ And I told her, ‘The day that you were put in my arms,’” Skeete recalled in an exclusive interview with KHOU 11.
