Draya Michele is catching heat over the insensitive comments she made about Megan Thee Stallion’s shooting incident with Tory Lanez.
During the latest episode of the Wine and Weed podcast, the former Basketball Wives star speculated that the two artists are lovers, comparing their relationship to Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s wild romance.
“I predict that they had some sort of Bobby and Whitney love that drove them down this … type of road,” Draya said. “I’m here for it. I like that. I want you to like me so much you shoot me in the foot, too.”

She continued: “I want you to like me so much that if I’m trying to get out the car, and you’re like, ‘No, sit your ass in the car,’ and I’m like, ‘No n***a, I’m getting out the car.’ [He goes] ‘No you’re not!’ Bah-bah!”
Meg was quick to get Draya right together in a tweet, in which she also confirmed speculation that Lanez indeed shot her that fateful night.
“Dumb b*tch that shit ain’t fucking funny who tf jokes about getting shot by a n*gga,” she wrote in response to Draya’s remarks.
Fans of the hip-hop star are also dragging Draya Michele for filth on Twitter.
“One user wrote, “t’s really off of Draya to not only refer to Megan thee Stallion’s shooting as a “Bobby + Whitney” sort of relationship but she also glamorized domestic violence in the same breath. What a mess.”
Amid the online criticism, Draya posted an apology and insisted she was simply “trying to be funny.”
“I truly don’t glorify domestic violence… I was trying to say just love me deeply. But while trying to be funny, I offended many, including meg. And I’m sorry.”

As theGrio previously reported, Lanez was arrested following a disturbance outside a house party in the Hollywood Hills in the early morning hours of July 12. Officers responded to the scene and were told by witnesses that people had been arguing inside an SUV before shots were fired in the air, and the vehicle sped off, according to TMZ.
Law enforcement tracked down the car and found the hip-hop star with Megan inside along with another woman. A search of the SUV turned up a gun. Four shell casings were also found at the residence.
Megan was reportedly shot in the foot during the incident, and she hopped on Instagram days later to note that the “whole experience was an eye opener and a blessing in disguise.”
She added, “I hate that it took this experience for me to learn how to protect my energy,” she captioned the post.”

The “Savage” rapper also made clear that reports about what went down that night are inaccurate.
“The narrative that is being reported about Sunday’s morning events are inaccurate and I’d like to set the record straight. On Sunday morning, I suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me.” she wrote.
She continued, “I was never arrested, the police officers drove me to the hospital where I underwent surgery to remove the bullets,” Meg wrote.
“I’m incredibly grateful to be alive and that I’m expected to make a full recovery, but it was important for me to clarify the details about this traumatic night.”
The LAPD responded to Megan’s statement, telling TMZ that she never claimed to be a victim the night Lanez was arrested.
