As the #MeToo movement continues to make headlines, Rosario Dawson has come forward and revealed she survived sexual abuse at the hands of a family member.
In the latest episode of Morado Lens, the 38-year-old actress revealed to hosts Cindy Rodriguez and Nathalie Farfan: “I was raped and molested as a child, so for me, the world was like that since I was a child.”

“So when I saw it in the workplace, it wasn’t foreign to me,” she continued. “It was like, well, that even happens within family. It happens with people that are supposed to take care of you when you’re a child.”
Dawson has been a vocal supporter of #MeToo, regularly tweeting or retweeting posts about it and the Time’s Up initiative, which highlight sexual harassment and assault while giving victims a platform to speak up.
