Even though Cardi B looked fabulous while attending her first Met Gala on Monday night, her fiancee, Offset, was anything but happy about how the evening turned out.
The 26-year-old Migos member claims a tennis chain worth $150,000 was stolen from his hotel room after he and Cardi attended the event and he’s plenty pissed off about losing the expensive bling.
According to reports, the couple (who are expecting a baby girl in July) returned to their penthouse at LES Sixty Hotel after the annual fashion event and left their door open so their posse could go in and out.
“They had left the door open so people could come in and out of the room,” a police source told Page Six. “The door was left open even when they weren’t in the room.”
IT’S A GIRL: Cardi B and Offset confirm they’re expecting a daughter
When Offset arrived in Atlanta a few hours later, he noticed his jewelry was missing and reportedly phoned his manager, Danny Zook, who was still at the NYC hotel.
Hotel staff searched the hotel room for the missing necklace, but came up empty handed. Sources say Zook called the police, but he later denied he alerted the authorities.
“I didn’t really deal with it, so I don’t know much,” he said. “I have no comment.”
The rapper is still on the hunt for his missing bling, but that’s not his only problem. Authorities are still searching for members of his entourage who were caught on tape beating an overzealous fan who stepped over the line while trying to get an autograph from Cards B after the Met Gala.
The fan involved in the incident, Giovanni Arnold, told The Blast that Offset ordered members of their entourage to “go after” him and insists he was pushed down to the ground and beaten and police are reportedly investigating the situation.
