Tyrese Gibson is asking for prayer warriors as his mother has been hospitalized with COVID-19 and pneumonia.

Gibson’s mother, Priscilla Murray, is being treated in the ICU, he shared with fans in a series of posts on Instagram on Sunday. The Fast and Furious actor shared a photo of himself taking a break from filming after receiving the news of Murray’s hospitalization.

“My mother is in a coma, in ICU, with Pneumonia and she caught Covid they got her so sedated she can’t breathe or even eat on her own,” he shared. “I need prayers the most sincere prayers from you prayer warriors.”

Gibson asked, “Please guys praise you pray and even write out the prayers in the comments so that me and my family can read and be encouraged….I feel helpless and need my prayer warriors to cover my mother please please keep her father God she’s got so much more to do.”

The actor/singer previously called on fans to pray for his mother back in 2020 when she was hospitalized in critical condition, theGrio reported.

“Pray for my mother…Prayer warriors? If you are looking at this post right now, please pray for my mother. Please not with just emojis. Please, actually pray…sincerely,” he said in an Instagram post.

He continued, saying, “Thank you. Father God we love you and trust you. Please, not now. Please, I’m my mom’s baby boy.”

In 2017, Gibson purchased a house for his mother in celebration of her 11th year of sobriety. He revealed that his mother’s alcoholism “killed” his childhood.

In 2000, Gibson and his mother made an appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show in honor of Mother’s Day to reflect on his tough upbringing in Watts, Calif.
