Emily Bustamante (Emily B) is still standing by Fabolous, even though he reportedly knocked her front teeth out and threatened her life during a violent attack in March.

The former Love & Hip Hop star was by her man’s side as he appeared in court to face charges for domestic violence and making terroristic threats against her and her family.

In March, the 40-year-old M.C., whose real name is John David Jackson, was charged by the Bergen County, N.J., prosecutor with one count of aggravated assault in the third degree and one third degree count of making terroristic threats.

Fabolous allegedly punched Bustamante seven times, damaging her two front teeth so badly that they eventually had to be removed. Fabolous also said in text messages that he would hit Bustamante, a former star of VH1’s Love and Hip Hop in the head with a baseball bat.

He also was caught on video saying said that “he had a bullet” for her father and brother who had come to help her. The video and the charges have not stopped countless men and even celebrities like Lil Kim from defending and supporting Fabolous.

Dear Black Men: You can’t defend Fabolous allegedly assaulting Emily B without accepting the fact that you’re an idiot

If convicted, he could face three to five years in prison along with up to $15,000 in fines for the assault charge.

It’s hard to imagine Emily B would stay with Fab even after video showed her screaming in fear as he yelled at her while being restrained by his own bodyguards.

Still, she was right beside him on Thursday at Bergen County Superior Court for an early deposition hearing. He’s expected to return to court next month.

This wasn’t the first time the couple that share two children have been spotted together since the horrifying incident made headlines. The pair were cuddling at Coachella last month, sparking rumors that Emily B and Fab were back together despite their turbulent relationship.

Now, it seems clear that she has taken him back, and we can’t help but be worried about her safety. Domestic violence is a serious issue and violent offenders rarely stop abusing their mates once they start.
