Fans stunned after Tamar Braxton abruptly disappears in the middle of her stage play with Snoop Dogg
Sunday, fans were shocked and taken aback when Tamar Braxton inexplicably walked off in the middle of her stage play “Redemption of a Dogg.”
In the play, the singer plays a guardian angel who helps guide Snoop Dogg’s character as figures out his faith, fame and relationship with his family. The duo was set to perform the stage production at Washington, D.C.’s Warner Theatre Nov. 9-11. Yet on the last night something went wrong.
Monday, a source told The Washington Post that things noticeably amiss during the intermission, which lasted much longer than usual. As the audience grew impatient, the comic who had originally served as the opening act came back out to entertain (and stall) them.
After nearly an hour, the show resumed and the hiccup was blamed on technical difficulties.
However, during the next act, without any warning a completely different actress took the stage to play Braxton’s part. The audience was reportedly so shocked that a rumble of confused murmurs were heard throughout the theatre as they all tried to figure out what had happened to Braxton.

Their dismay of the crowd was so loud and persistent, writer/director Je’Caryous Johnson was forced to address it after the performance, as audience members shouted towards the stage, demanding answers.
The only explanation Johnson offered was that Braxton had an emergency that prevented her from continuing with the show that night. Which caused peeved fans to air out their grievances online.
“#RedemptionOfADogg Feeling robbed!!!” posted one fan. “Seeing all these dope reviews of the show online. @TamarBraxtonHer left at the beginning of the show!! @SnoopDogg and the cast did their thing but there was an obvious hole. I guess better luck next time? #wherestamar #superdisappointed.”
Braxton, who is notorious for her public clapbacks, has yet address her sudden absence on her social media platforms or issue a statement of apology to the disappointed crowd who came out to see her.
